Curtis Hill is a Melbourne based director & all round nice guy.*
Spending most of his childhood with a camcorder strapped to his hand, Curtis became obsessed with visual storytelling and fluent in film (he was no good at French class so it had to do).
After his trusty camcorder fell victim to a horrific and regrettable pool based accident, he took it as a sign to join a film school and utilise their equipment, later graduating from the Victorian College of the Arts.
Today his passion is stronger than ever. Known for his deft handling of film tone and his ability tease out the truth in a story, Curtis creates crafted stories with heart, authenticity and cinematic scope.
Spanning emotive performance pieces, gritty cinematic storytelling and dry character comedy, Curtis' commercial and music video work has been recognised at the Cannes Young Director Awards and Australian Directors Guild Awards.
In 2019, his global film for the Movember Foundation was a finalist at the Cannes Lions and won gold at the Clio Awards, but more importantly showed men around the world that it's ok to be vulnerable and ask for help.
Curtis currently developing a feature film and a TV series project.
